Class Treaty

 In social studies we have been trying to make a class treaty the problems are that people were not  understanding each other or having a say so we are the teacher told three students to get in a group and make the treaty so its easer for some people.

Teenagers are often addicted to modern technology. You can see this, for instance, at the shops where you find at least 90% of young people on their phones even when they are actually hanging out with their friends. When i'm talking to people I always put my phone away to basically show that I'm trying to stay social so if there is an event when I don't need my phone I dont have the urge to go on it. Some of the consequences of being addicted to cell phones is that people can be incapable of socialising. They only have an online life and it is not healthy physically or emotionally to always be on your phone. I think the world would be a much healthier place if we went back a few years and remembered how to interact in sports and play. People would need to relearn how to communicate face to face.

Evidence 

The cars have changed from horses and carts to bicycles then to flash cars that are safer  to travel in because they are made of a stronger material that lasts longer. If you were on a bike you would get hurt or badly injured if you got knocked off. If you were in a car you would be protected more by the outside and the airbags would go off. If  you're on a bike you would get wet if its raining but in the car you don't get wet and you are safer because if the road is wet it can be slippery.

The car is a lot faster compared to a bike when it would take a day or two to get there but if your in a car it takes less time  to get to a location.

Sum up 

This is how technology has changed our lives by being able to spend more time with people by taking less travel time to get to our locations and more safely.

Matariki project

In Social Studies we have been making a project on Matariki which is the Maori New Year. I gathered information on Matariki I found the research hard to do because I did not know a lot about Matariki.  I learnt Matariki has seven stars and each one has a name the names are Maia,Nerope,Celaeno,Alcyone,Taygete,electra and Asterope  I made a slideshow on my information and at the end I made a poster

I was kinda hard to figure out what holiday to take out if I wanted to take out a holiday but I choose the queens birthday.

what is sustainability? it is when a resource such as water is replaced when it rains or snows and when it melts it becomes water in our rivers which is used for irrigation to grow what we eat.

The snow also goes underground and that is what is used for our water that we drink we also use it for showers, washing and lots of every day uses. it is important that we look after this resource to survive.

Today in Social Studies I  had to find out about different cultures in my class. I found out about Muslims. Which they fast for a whole 30 days only eating very early in the morning then a little in evening. At the end the makes special treats and they shear them with their friends.
This was called Ramadan.
