Today in class we were reading news articles and I found one and decided to read it it was about. The A & P show going ahead in Waimate there were events held on the Saturday and Sunday like wool fleece competition and a horse competition.  The horse competition was the biggest one they have ever had because there were a big number of horses there were 350 horse entries with only competitors with a support person and officials/ volunteers. the wool was judged on preparation and quality Jack  and Rosina took the prize for the best supreme champion and the best fleece John won second.

To answer the critical literacy question someone that is most likely to read this is someone that want to know a bit about the A&P show and the competitions and more.

Passion Projects

 In class we have been working on something that we like and when we found soothing we enjoyed we had to come up with a driving question. My driving question was what are the best conditions for budgie breeding. I chose that because I have 12 budgies because they breed every year last year I had six but because of breeding season we have 6 more and one egg. I have made a slideshow showing you all the facts and the information about budgies. When I had finished it I had to present it to the class.

 I found it all on google or else I knew the information.

What were my thoughts overall?

 my thought were good I thought it was fun doing this the only part I really didn't like which was presenting to the class.

A person is trapped in a car after a big crash on SH2 (state highway 2) north of wellington. The police are saying that the car had left the hill road and turned about 9;42 am. A helicopter has been called in. Sh2 hill crash 10 am the road is closed between Featherston and Kaitoke. Services are in route to the location an update will be given when the road is cleared. there was no detail available of any injuries at this stage.

Who is most likely to read this text and why?

Someone that will read this text is someone that wants an update on New Zealand's roads or someone that lives in that area.

Southland and Otago have the highest amount of  vaccines with 40.09 and with 77% of of the southland has had their first Covid shot on Friday the numbers were at 342.956 of doses have been delivered. about 400 people form the south island have had the vaccine.It took 145 day to get 100.000 doses it took it took 32 day to get 200.00 and it took two weeks to get 300.000

So tell people how dangerous Covid is to the world for example New Zealand had an out break and that put the whole country in lockdown.

Reborn Lamborghini Countach leaked

 In class we have been reading news articles I read one on the new Lamborghini Countach the article  was talking about the new triangled shaped air vent with the air vent it has a bigger intake and outtake for air flow. The does not have popup light headlight since it failed on safety regulations. The car company took out the aerodynamics in the new model at the moment as there wont be any extra parts to add onto the vehicle to make it more aerodynamic. The Lamborghini an v12 electric motor connected to the gearbox.

 In class are still reading Romeo and Juliet our class has got up to act 2 we haven't really read much in act 2 we got up to the part where Romeo is feeling al alone and goes to a place and start talking to Juliet and then Juliet suggest that he should change his name then he goes on that he would do any thing for her and she is like the love of his life. and he should leave his family and join her and he says that he will because he been by himself hurt because he has been rejected. we got about that far through.

In act 1 Romeo cant sleep because he is in love with a girl but she is not interested in love with anyone.

 He feel angry and upset he doesn't want to talk to anyone about it. Then the serving man was told to give out invites the problem was that he couldn't read so then he ask someone to help him then the Montagues showed up to the caplets party. Tybalt wants to get into a fight but then his cousin remind him about what the prince said if the Montagues and the caplets get into another fight they will get their heads cut off.

In  class we watched a video of a interview on Simon Sinek on millennials in the work place. This is to help us understand millennials and improve wellbeing to reduce screen time and not getting addicted to phones and other technology. He was saying being addicted was bad because it has a bad impact on your job such as being distracted and therefore you cant perform tasks.

what views of the world is the text presenting?

it looks at younger people at the work place and young people wanting stuff now rather than waiting. They also want their phones a lot for social media to check comments and likes. Simon talks about how people can just download movies instead of going there. Simon talks about Instagram and how young people want to see there likes and comments and how it impacts there self esteem when someone doesn't comment straight away , so they are left waiting.

This week in class we have been working on financial literacy. Which was about telling us to be safe about our money at watch out for what we buy we also had to find definitions about word about money.

we watched a quick video from a school saying what they think about their money. They were saying things about how they are being more careful knowing how powerful money is. 

What knowledge does the author bring to the text for the reader to understand it?

He or she brings the knowledge of money skills knowing what's safe and unsafe to use your money on and to be careful of spending your money because you could end up in debt and owe the bank lots of money and your work may not get you enough money from your job so  you may not be able to pay it since they add interest on the money making it cost a bit more.

 In class we have been reading a Shakespeare story of  Romeo and Juliet.

The class was given parts to read it took us a little while to read the first part because there was a big part to read we are reading the Shakespeare text and the modern text. The parts that were being played was Samson and Gregory which those parts had two pages so it took a while to read but we got it all done.

I think that students world read this text because they could learn how unfair life was before the modern days of technology and laws.

People could learn some of the old rules and how bias they were towards men.

In class we watched a film about resilience by Denzel Washington. He was telling us if your to fall to fall forward so if you fail he is saying get back up and try to do better the next time. He tells about how he try to be an singer and failed and then he kept on practicing and still failed. part of the job was to be a actor he tried that but fail by this he was telling us by fail your leaning by your mistakes and to try beater than you did the first time so you can see the improvement

In the last Copple of weeks we have been working on our culture then we had a choice to do a online product or some clay work I choice to do the online product. Mine was about where I'm from my hobbies my pets and sports I like or play.

Culture for me is what makes me who I am because of my family, entertainment, pets, sport and more.

 sport I choose basketball and rugby because rugby is a good sport for our contrary since we have some tough and talented people in the all blacks.

  Pets I have six budgies 3 green 3 white and they are in two different cages there are 4 in one and 2 in the other.

gaming I put gaming in because it has become a big part of my life

My uncles, brothers and more of my family  play videogames on Xbox, play station, Nintendo and pc.

 In class this week I did reading about 3 guys in a taxi. There was a driver and one of the guys was a big buff guy and next to him was his friend. They came form a party and was head to the railroad on the way back the bigger guy started to pick on the driver a bit and after a while the driver told them to get out and the bigger guy got angry a throw a bottle at his head and left.

 In DTE we have been working on a broken xbox 360 since the disk reader was broken and some other parts but we fixed most of it we are now working on the looks for the console we are cutting the caseing and then we are going to hydro dip some of it and put a see though layer over that. we pulled apart the console

Riche Macaw Chasseing Great

Last week in class we have been looking at a film on Richie Macaw and all of his great achievements like winning world cups and other things like that. and it showed how he became an all black. there was a lot of teams that thought that he was a cheat expellee the Australia team that put articles about him. there was a sense where Richie was flying plane behind his dad plane and the rope holding the one Richie was in broke and the planes had disconnected. So he had to get better control since there was nothing holding it up in the sky other than the engine.

the book was about a grandmother that likes to play cards with her friends. But she would never play fair she would always have the best cards Hindan under a blanket her her skirt or something. Then she would pull kit out then her and her friend would argue and argue about her cheating. The Author said that they didn't know how nanny Nero and miss Heta where still friends.
