no more words

lyrics to jeff hardys theme no more words
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctD04Hffcv0
the highlighted words are the reaped words
I got a sharp stick, i keep in my pocket
I speak volumes never utter a word
When you strike a match, a fire will happen
But the line between the smoke and the flames get blured
Don't you see the writing on the wall
(Don't you see the writing on the wall)
You're in way over your head
You're gonna drown in the things that you said
Time has come and gone for words
A thousands threats i've heard before
But words are cheap, but lies are big to take
Time has come and gone for words
A thousands threats i've heard before
And all your words are too big to take
It's a paradox, A mystery, A riddle
A door in your face and only i have the key
Do understand, you'll be caught in the middle
Caught in a web by being spun by me
Don't you see the writing on the wall(Don't you see
the writing on the wall)
Just a victum of your own conceit
The architect of your own defeat
Time has come and gone for words
A thousands threats i've heard before
But words are cheap, but lies are big to take
Time has come and gone for words
A thousands threats i've heard before
And all your words are too big to take
Never walk away from a fight thats worth fighting
Never hesitate when you know you're gonna act
Never waste your words on a fool you won't listen
Never sell your soul cause you'll never buy it... back
Time has come and gone for words
A thousands threats i've heard before
But words are cheap, but lies are big to take
Time has come and gone for words
A thousands threats i've heard before
And all your words are too big to take
Time has come and gone for words
A thousands threats i've heard before
But words are cheap, but lies are big to take
Time has come and gone for words
A thousands threats i've heard before
And all your words are too big to take.

              key thing about the song
the feeling thats going on is joy, entertainment
the meaning of the song is no more words time to fight
its also a build up to get in the mood and energy

Shylock study

Make a list of the insults and names Shylock has been called in the text so far?
dog and a user

Find quotes in the text that show Shylock’s hurt, his rage, his loneliness?

SHYLOCK STUDY

Shylock Character Study #3
Many characters hold anti semitic views, but in places Shakespeare lets
Shylock speak from the heart and suddenly we see him as a human, not a
stereotype.

  • In Act 1 Scene 3 when Shylock offers to lend money without interest \
some argue that he is being kind, do you agree?
yes because he willing to share is money as long it gets payed back.

  • In A3S1 Shylock suffers great losses. Look for suggestions of his
sorrow, loneliness and feelings for his dead wife. he feels lonely

  • In A4S1 when Shylock is sentenced, we again feel pity for him. Why is
this an achievement for Shakespeare (consider his audience) because he
could not cut it because there is no way to way it.

  • The Merchant of Venice is considered a comedy, however the character
of Shylock makes it feel more of a tragi-comedy. because he acts like a dark
person.
and people use his money and do pay it back so he gets angry

Do you feel he is portrayed
more as a villain or victim. Write a paragraph explaining your thoughts with
supporting evidence from the play.
Shylock is more victim then villain because he might want to cut flesh off
someone but they have treated him with no respect an made him angry
but also he never cut some flesh of Antonio so he still had to live because i
some blood was droped he will had to die they made it so he had to be no
longer Jewish and he had to lose all his money and land

  • It has been argued that the play should be renamed ‘The Jew of Venice’.
I argue that it should be called that
  • Why do you think this is? Would it change your initial view of the play?
Would it be a more suitable name? yes because its about a Jewish man.

P. Point the moment when Antonio agreed to the bond was shock ing because Shylock and Antonio didn't get along.

E. Evidence Antonio was a merchant and Shylock made a living lending people money with interest , Antonio lent money without interest and scorned Shylock for doing so. He also spat at Shylock and called him a "cut throat dog. Antonio argued to the bound so he has put his life on the line if he is found guilty.

E.Explain  Therefor, the reader is shocked to discover Antonio and Shylock can come to an agreement about money lending It is also shocking because when Shylock calls Antonio out for the way he treason him, Antonio tells Shylock that he will spit on him and call him a dog again

L.Link with treatment like this from Antonio towards Shylock and a promise to be just as anrel in tho future it is shocking that they both agreed both to the bound

another reason why something like this happof venened is because they did not get along.

Have you ever felt like taking  revenge?  In William Shakespeare 'The Merchant of Venice key moment that shocked the reader was when Antonio agreed to forfeit a bound of his flesh  to Shylock if he didn't  repay his bound. This moment was Shylock, outrageous and fascinating. This moment was important to the text as a whole because Shylock and Antonio didn't like southerner but still agreed on the bound,Antonio was willing to risk his life for Bassanio, and Shylock did not show mercy in claiming his bond.
